We have nearly completed our 3rd season since starting Kola Flies. This year in 2006, sales have been fantastic and I am pleased to report a 50% increase from 2005 which in turn was a 100% increase from 2004. Our flies are of the highest quality, using the finest hooks, the finest available materials and being made by one of the finest fly tyers in the country, I am delighted that so many clients have repeated their orders to us.

During many years managing camps in Russia, I have built up a unique knowledge of the salmon rivers of the Kola Peninsula that will help you catch more fish. Since my 1st trip to the Kola in 1994, I have clocked up over 50 weeks fishing various rivers on the Kola Peininsula. There are few people in the western world that have spent as much time on the Kola as I have.

Introduced in September 2006, the highly effective Hotronic Footwarmer and Snapdry boot dryer and warmer. The newly dsigned batteries giving up to 15 hours of heat. Very new to the fishing and shooting world, I think they are a great piece of kit that have a genuine place as part of anyones fishing tackle.

While I am not a tackle dealer, I will recommend certain rods, reels and lines that in my opinion offer excellent quality and will help your casting and make your trip more enjoyable.

The range of flies that I put together cover the whole season. I see no reason in have dozens of different patterns to choose from, when one or two will usually do. How much time have you spent changing flies during a days fishing, too many I suspect. The best fishermen I have met over the years have the most simple approach, some fish with just one pattern exclusively. Having the right fly and the right size is one of the most important desicions you have to make to ensure success. Fishing with my flies will give you the confidence to concentrate on the fishing which will in turn ensure you have a successful trip.
