Dear Jason,
I have just got back from a season on the Kola. I would like to say how impressed I am with the quality of the flies that you supplied to the fishermen. I was even more impressed with the sheer quantity of salmon that these flies produced. The two most productive flies on the Kitza river this season were the Mediator and the Foxy, these two flies were responsible for one client catching 24 salmon in one day! I am sure you will agree that this is not only testament to his skill, and the productivity of the river but the quality of what he had on his line.

Jason, an EXCELLENT week, 11 rods releasing 505 salmon. I had no luck
on days 2-3 for some reason & then bounced back taking 33 salmon with
a record 18Lb fish right next to camp in the Generator pool in my swimming
trunks on the last morning.
My success? Kola shrimp. At one point
I could not shake the fish off. Was at Eagle Rock caught a nice 3Kg fish,
released it & before I could cast, there was already another salmon
on the line that I had simply dropped back in the water! Took 4 Salmon
in about 20 minutes & would have taken more had it not been time to
go back (6pm). The next morning, in same pool, Dominique Collinet took
12 fish!
Also good success with Shadow (silver) Shrimp & Mediator

Just to let you know your Yellow Shadow Shrimp
accounted for 8 fish at Taymount the first 3 days of last week and hardly
left my rod. It is a great fly. I will order some more prior to my Russian
visits next year. Great looking flies of high quality and they were
favourites with the fish as well!

In June 2004, I had my first attempt
at salmon fishing and my first trip to the Kola Peninsula. At short notice
I phoned Kola Flies, and in a coup;e of days some beautiful flies arrived.
On arrival at the camp and after dinner, I wondered down to the river
after midnight and selected a Shadow Shrimp. Imagine my surprise when
my very first cast landed a 5lb bar of gleaming silver. Over the next
week I landed 23 fish between 5 and 14lbs all on Kola Flies"

Salmon fishing is over.It was really enjoyable.
As the water was cold on the Kitza Roggie and Spring Silver worked well.
On the lower Varzuga Mediator,Shadow shrimp and Kola Shrimp were the best.

We fished mostly with a tube fly some kind of
green
highlander. This fly was very successful.80 % of all fish were caught
with this fly. And something very funny: I met an English guy- his name
is Paul.....And he had your flies!
Ok- I tried your black shrimp fly- caught 3 salmons in half a day!
Now in a few weeks I will go to the yokanga mid of juli and that's whyI'm
order some more flies.

The trip to the Kola was fantastic and your flies stood up really
well. The Rogie and Kola Green were killers and I'm so pleased that
I found your site.
However your fame must be spreading as one of the party, Heinz
from Zurich, was fishing with your flies also. I understand he's of
to the Yokanga River in six weeks(lucky sod) and will be ordering some
more from you............as will his mates in Switzerland.

We had a terrific week, am sure you have read the recent Roxton report.
Your flies were terrific, you were quite correct that the flies i had
disappeared...caught on boulders...and shredded by fish!....the Kola
Shrimp was my most successful.
It seems you are very well known in the Middle Varzuga..congratulations..
